*Online Registration Opens April 2 For City Of Las Vegas Summer Camps*

     The city of Las Vegas invites you to register your children for this year’s summer camps. Online registration opens Wednesday, April 2, for most of the city of Las Vegas summer camp options, with walk-in registration available at city community centers and cultural centers starting at 9 a.m. April 2. *Recreation Summer Day Camps*

 

     Day camps will be offered for ages 3-15 for 11 weeks — from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, May 27-Aug. 8, 2025. There will be _no_ camp on Saturday, Sunday or holidays —Juneteenth June 19 and Independence Day July 4*. **Camp prices are pro-rated for four-day weeks. There is a $25 administrative fee to register for each summer session (weeks 1-5 and weeks 6-11).*

 

     Camp activities will include arts and crafts, sports, games, music, life skills, physical fitness and fun, all with trained staff supervision. Tot Camp is for ages 3-5 who have not completed kindergarten; Kids Camp ages 5-11 (must have completed kindergarten); and Teen Camp ages 11-14. The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is available for those age 15.

 

     Camp space is limited and advance registration is required. Financial assistance is available for those families that meet the qualifications. Call 702.229.PLAY (7529) for more information.

* Dula Community Center, 451 E. Bonanza Road, 702.229.6307. This adaptive recreation camp is for ages 5-18; $100/week.
* East Las Vegas Community Center, 250 N. Eastern Ave., 702.229.1515; ages 5-11; $100/week. Teen Camp ages 11-14 $150/week.
* Mirabelli Community Center, 6200 Hargrove Ave., 702.229.6359; ages 3-11; $150/week. Teen Camp Tuesday-Thursday, ages 11-14; $150/week.

*Counselor-In-Training Camp*

 

     The Counselor in Training (CIT) Program is designed for youth, 15 years of age, who have an interest in developing strong leadership skills and a sense of community in a seasonal camp environment. Essential camp counselor duties will be introduced in an effort to prepare the CIT participant for future employment opportunities. Development of leadership skills, planning skills, skills to manage children, and customer service will be emphasized. There is a weekly fee for this program that covers supplies and other costs. 

 

    Those who wish to apply for CIT will need to fill out an application and be interviewed; space is limited. CIT camp is offered 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday from May 27 through Aug. 8, 2025. There will be no camp June 19 and July 4.

Junior Lifeguard Camps

 

*Junior Lifeguard Camps *(ages 11-14)

Camp sessions are offered June 9-13, June 23-27, July 7-11, July 21-25, July 28-Aug. 1. Each five-day camp is Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Cost: $150 per week per camper. Pavilion Center Pool, 101 S. Pavilion Center Drive, 702.229.1488. This fun camp at Pavilion Center Pool is great for youth that enjoy swimming and may want to become a lifeguard. Upon successful completion of the camp, participants will earn a Junior Lifeguard certification and have learned essential pool lifesaving skills. Open to ages 11-14, participants need to bring with them each day a swim suit, towel, change of clothes, lunch, snacks and beverages. Each camp is limited to 10 participants. 

 

*Cultural Arts Summer Day Camps*

*Performing & Visual Arts Summer Camp for Kids *(ages 10-15)

Cost: $400 for the full eight-week program; financial aid is available for qualified applicants.

Designed to spark the genius in youth, the 29th annual Performing & Visual Arts Summer Camp for Kids (PVAC) will offer art instruction in the disciplines of dance, music, theatre, video production and photography. PVAC offers life skills instruction through arts education. The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District has been an active partner with the city of Las Vegas West Las Vegas Arts Center PVAC since its conception in 1996.

 

*Rainbow Company Summer Competition Camp* (ages 13-18)

Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., June 9-14, 2025.

Cost: $175; financial aid is available for those who qualify.

This summer intensive focuses on developing acting and performance skills through specialized training. Throughout the week, students will workshop a theatre piece (monologue, partner scene, duet, etc.) and receive coaching in their chosen style: contemporary comedy, contemporary drama, classical theatre, or musical theatre. The program culminates in a structured competition and evaluation process on Friday. Students also will get the opportunity to showcase these pieces in a final performance on Saturday for friends and family. Emphasizing both individual growth and ensemble collaboration, the intensive blends skill-building, personalized feedback and performance opportunities. Advance registration required.

 

*Vegas City Opera **Summer Music Academy* (ages 8-16)

Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., June 16-27, 2025 (no camp June 19)

Cost: $150, scholarships available.

This camp will provide music and vocal training for ages 8-16. All levels of students are welcome. Top teaching artists will be assigned along with solo selections for each level of instruction. Never sung a solo? This is your chance. Want to learn an aria? Vegas City Opera has got you covered. Past alumni have gone on to receive scholarships at local colleges as well as in Master programs in Music Performance across the country. Plus, you will see how fun opera and musical theater can be. Advance registration required.

 

*Rainbow Company Summer Acting Camp* (ages 8-12)

Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., July 14-25, 2025.

Cost: $299; financial aid is available for those who qualify.

This two-week camp introduces young artists to theatre arts through engaging workshops in acting, movement, performance skills, and more. All students will perform a short scene alongside fellow campers, guided by one of the directors. They also will participate in a group musical number. The camp concludes with a short showcase on the final day, where students will present their scenes for family and friends. Throughout the program, students will build confidence, develop teamwork and foster creativity.
